In this article you will learn how to update your business details for a Limited company.
Changing your business name
We can update your company name so your customers see the correct information on their bank statement. However, in order for us to action this, we would ask you to confirm the following information:
- Is the legal entity of your organisation changing? (e.g. has your company been dissolved?)
- Will you require collected funds to be paid out to a different bank account? (Or a bank account owned by a different entity)
- Has the ownership of your organisation changed?

If not, please send an email to help@gocardless.com confirming the above and we will be able to change these details on your behalf.
Changing your business address
If your business has moved, you will need to update this information via your GoCardless dashboard.
1. Log into your GoCardless dashboard at manage.gocardless.com
You can then go to Settings ➡️Company info. Click Edit account details to open the setup section.
2. Select Tell us about your company on the left menu
There, you can update your address under Company details.
Please note: we may require you to verify these new details by providing supporting documents.
Changing your payout bank account
If you would like to change where payouts are being sent, you will need to update your bank account details via your GoCardless dashboard.
1. Log into your GoCardless dashboard at manage.gocardless.com
You can then go to Settings ➡️Company info. Click Edit account details to open the setup section.
2. Select Connect your bank account from the left menu and click Update
3. Enter the new account details
Please note: In order for us to verify your bank details, we request that you upload a bank statement.
